Heroes of Might and Magic II in Java?

After talking with a fellow HoMMII programmer, we talked about the possibility of writing a Heroes of Might and Magic II client in Java, which would open up the possibility of playing it on Android phones and whatnot.

I’m going to throw this out there just to see if there’s anybody else out there interested in this idea?
